  • Do we have to leave our home while work is performed?

    • No. We use Bona products which means faster drying time and we work together to manage the timeframes that the floor is unable to be walked on which is a matter of hours, not days. 

  • How much dust is created?

    • We use a dust containment system that traps dust as we are sanding. There is a minimal amount that is kicked up from the hand sander that is used in hard to reach areas. We also take preventative steps to make sure that all cabinets/pantry have a plastic covering 

  • How bad will it smell?

    • We use Bona products that are the lowest VOC’s in the industry when it comes to refinishing your floors. This is a green guard certified product that is not only safe for your family and pets but has a fast dry time as well.

  • How long do I have to be off my floors?

    • We are in constant communication with our customers throughout the project. Every job varies on the amount of time that the floors will be inaccessible as it’s size dependent. However, we set the right expectations to ensure that you know the exact times that you cannot be on the floors. With Bona products this is just a matter of hours.

  • How am I going to get all of my furniture moved out of the way before work begins?

    • We can help to move your furniture into a designated space in your home. Most customers choose to utilize their garage for the duration of the project. After completion we schedule a time for the movers to come set furniture back. If a storage pod is needed we arrange for one to be delivered to your driveway. 

  • Can you spot treat a scratch?

    • Unfortunately, no. When it comes to hardwood you cannot spot treat and area without the touch up being noticeable. For this reason is it recommended to sand all the wood that surrounds the damaged areas. 

  • Can existing damaged boards be replaced while refinishing?

    • Yes, we are able to remove damaged boards and replace with new hardwood. Some wood is unrepairable or scratched so deep that refinishing alone will not help. For these problem areas we can remove the damaged  wood.

  • Am I able to mix stain colors?

    • Yes! We specialize in custom on site stain selection. We create special, one of a kind colors that suit your home and decor style. On color selection day our design consultant assists to ensure you find the perfect color for YOU! 

  • What stain do you use?

    • DuraSeal 

  • Are you certified through the NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association)?

    • Yes, we are a member of the NWFA

  • How do I clean my new hardwood/LVP?

    • We provide you a Bona (Greenguard certified) cleaning kit that is all you will ever need. When you run out you just purchase a refill at a local big box store.

  • How long will the job take?

    • Every job is unique in size and scope of work. Unfortunately we cannot give a generalized answer for an estimated time. However, if you have contracted with us we will set the right timeline expectation for your project prior to beginning.

  • Do you warranty your product/labor?

    • We offer a limited lifetime warranty that is fully detailed in our contract.

  • Do you offer special financing for projects? 

    • Yes! We offer 0% financing for 12 or 24 months (subject to credit approval) to make your renovation affordable, and our experienced team ensures that every project is completed to the highest standards. Trust us to provide expert service, from start to finish, for all your flooring needs.

  • Are you insured?

    • Yes, we can provide a COI upon request.
